What Drives Price
- Size. Larger canvases require more material and time.
- Texture complexity. Heavily textured pieces use more paint and labor.
- Materials. Metallic paints cost more than standard acrylics.
- Originality. One of one — no reproductions, no editions.
Is It Worth It?
Gallery pricing for comparable original abstract work starts higher because galleries take 40-50% commission. Buying direct from the artist means you pay the studio price. A mass-produced print costs $100-500. An original is the only version in the world.
